Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea Guide: Ticket Prices, Fantasy Springs, Disney Premier Access (DPA), Standby Pass, and Which Park to Choose for Your First Visit
Tokyo Disney one-day Passport prices vary: most weekdays in 9/2026 cost ¥9,900 and weekends ¥10,900. At 14:00 daily, tickets go on sale for the same date two months later. Free Priority Pass is no longer on the official service list; only paid Disney Premier Access (¥1,000–3,500 per person per use) shortens waits. Covers hours, the 25th anniversary, Standby Pass, Entry Request, Fantasy Springs access and first-visit park choice; checked on the official site in 9/2026.

The three biggest sticking points in planning a Tokyo Disney visit are daily changes in ticket prices, the many app terms such as Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, and Entry Request, and whether you need a pass for Fantasy Springs. Checked against the Tokyo Disney Resort website in 2026/9, this article covers ticket prices and sale times, operating hours for month 9, Disney Premier Access prices and rules for each attraction, how to obtain free passes, the status of Priority Pass, transport, and strategies for rain and crowds. It ends by answering whether first-time visitors should choose Disneyland or DisneySea.
In short: buy tickets on the official website. Tickets for the same date two months ahead go on sale daily at 14:00, and weekends cost more than weekdays. Download the official app and register a MyDisney account first; once inside, validate your ticket and buy Disney Premier Access for your top attraction. You no longer need a pass to enter Fantasy Springs; buy Disney Premier Access for its three eligible attractions or join the regular queues. The free Priority Pass is no longer on the website’s service list, so do not look for it based on older guides.
Tickets and prices: Variable one-day Passport prices are ¥9,900 or ¥10,900 in 2026/9
Park tickets use variable pricing, so the same ticket type can cost different amounts on different dates. The official calendar shows each day's adult one-day Passport price: most weekdays in 9/2026 are ¥9,900, while weekends and some weekdays are ¥10,900. The lowest one-day Passport price shown on the website is ¥8,900. There are three age bands: adults 18 and over, Juniors 12 to 17, and children 4 to 11; children 3 and under enter free. The Junior category is based on age, not student enrollment. A one-day Passport is valid for the specified date and park from opening until closing. A limited-time one-day Park Hopper Passport was sold for 7/1–9/14/2026 and allowed travel between both parks from 11:00. No single ticket that admits guests to both parks on the same day is currently sold; to visit both in one day, buy separate tickets.
| Ticket type | Adult | Junior (ages 12–17) | Child | Conditions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One-day Passport | From ¥8,900 | From ¥7,400 | From ¥5,300 | Full day from opening at the specified park and date; in month 9, actual prices are ¥9,900 or ¥10,900 |
| One-day Park Hopper Passport (7/1–9/14/2026; discontinued) | ¥17,100 | ¥14,100 | ¥9,600 | Valid only 7/1–9/14/2026; travel between both parks was allowed from 11:00; not currently sold |
| After 3 pm Passport (holidays only) | From ¥7,900 | From ¥6,600 | From ¥4,400 | Entry from 15:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese national holidays; available from 2026/9/15 |
| After 5 pm Passport (weekdays only) | From ¥6,000 | From ¥5,200 | ¥3,800 | Entry from 17:00 on weekdays; available from 2026/9/15 |
| One-day Passport (guests with disabilities) | From ¥7,100 | From ¥5,900 | From ¥4,200 | For a guest with a disability certificate and 1 companion; each must buy 1 ticket |

Operating hours, events, and attraction closures in the second half of 2026
Both parks operate 9:00–21:00 in 2026/9, except Tokyo DisneySea, which closes early at 18:30 on 9/25. The official site says hours may change and entry may open early without notice, so recheck the schedule on the morning of your visit. Events: Tokyo DisneySea’s 25th anniversary “Sparkling Jubilee” runs from 2026/4/15 to 2027/3/31. Disney Halloween at both parks runs 9/16–10/31. “Summer Cool-off” and the Toy Story 5 celebration run through 9/14. There is no New Year’s Eve event on 2026/12/31. Check closures too: Indiana Jones Adventure at DisneySea is closed through 2026/11/29; Tower of Terror is closed 9/28–11/5; and Journey to the Center of the Earth is closed 2027/1/8–3/8. Confirm attractions you want to visit on the official attraction pages.
Three app services: Disney Premier Access is paid; Standby Pass and Entry Request are free; Priority Pass is gone
Disney Premier Access: Paid timed entry, ¥1,000 to ¥3,500 per person per use
Disney Premier Access is a paid service. After entering the park, verify your park ticket in the official app, choose an attraction and time slot, and pay by credit card. Scan the QR code at the entrance during your allotted time to use a shorter queue; for parades and shows, it gives access to a designated viewing area. Official prices in 2026/9, per person per use: at DisneySea, Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and Soaring: Fantastic Flight cost ¥2,500; Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Toy Story Mania!, and Journey to the Center of the Earth cost ¥2,000; Tower of Terror, Raging Spirits, and Indiana Jones Adventure cost ¥1,500; and harbor shows such as “Believe! Sea of Dreams” cost ¥2,500. At Disneyland, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast costs ¥2,500; The Happy Ride with Baymax, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Pooh’s Hunny Hunt cost ¥1,500; Monsters, Inc. and Haunted Mansion cost ¥1,000; parades and shows cost ¥2,500; and limited Halloween and Christmas shows cost ¥3,500. Rules: each park ticket can purchase access for only one person at a time, and access cannot be shared. Purchases cannot be changed, canceled, or refunded; missing your time slot makes the pass invalid. Quantities are limited and may sell out. Guests under 18 need a guardian’s consent. Those without a smartphone or credit card can buy it at the attraction.

Standby Pass and Entry Request: Free, but obtain them in the app
Standby Pass is free and lets you return to queue during a specified time slot, but it does not guarantee entry. In 2026/9, it is used mainly for shops and character greetings: Disney & Co. and Gag Factory at Disneyland; parts of Fantasy Springs Gifts, Sleepy Whale Shoppe, and 25th anniversary name engraving for pins at Agrabah Marketplace at DisneySea; and Mickey’s greeting in Lost River Delta. After obtaining a pass, you must wait 120 minutes or until its time slot begins before obtaining another in the same category. You can cancel a pass yourself but cannot change its time. Entry Request is a free lottery for parades and shows, including Mickey’s Magical Music World, Club Mouse Beat, and The D-Groovationz4 Live at Disneyland from 9/30. A successful request gives you an assigned place; if you do not win, you cannot see that performance that day. Disney Mobile Order and Priority Seating are also in the app. You can request Priority Seating from one month before your visit; same-day slots open online daily at 9:00.
Priority Pass: absent from the official service list as of 2026/9
Many old guides still explain the free Priority Pass introduced for Tokyo Disney Resort’s 40th anniversary. A check in 2026/9 found that the official “Make the Most of Your Park Visit with the App” service list includes only Disney Premier Access, Standby Pass, Entry Request, Disney Mobile Order, Priority Seating, and reservations for dining shows. It does not include Priority Pass, and its former information page has been removed. To shorten the wait for popular attractions, you have two options: pay for Disney Premier Access or join the regular queue at opening or in the evening, when the website says waits tend to be shorter.
How to enter and enjoy Fantasy Springs
Fantasy Springs is DisneySea’s newest themed area, with worlds based on Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan and four attractions: Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. As verified on the official website in 2026/9, you no longer need a pass to enter the area. Disney Premier Access is offered for the first three attractions, but you can also join their regular queues; the attraction pages show that day’s wait times. Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is queue only. Parts of the Fantasy Springs gift shop require a free Standby Pass. Suggested plan: make Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey your first Disney Premier Access purchase after entering (¥2,500; the most popular), enjoy another area until your allotted time, then return to Fantasy Springs before noon to queue for Peter Pan or Rapunzel.
Getting there: JR Maihama, the Disney Resort Line, and direct airport buses
The nearest station is Maihama on the JR Keiyo and Musashino lines. According to the official website, the train from Tokyo Station takes about 20 minutes with no transfer; Tokyo Disneyland is about a 5-minute walk from Maihama Station. For DisneySea, walk about 2 minutes from Maihama Station to Resort Gateway Station, ride the Disney Resort Line about 9 minutes to Tokyo DisneySea Station, then walk about 1 minute. The Disney Resort Line is a one-way monorail loop with four stations; a full circuit takes about 13 minutes. One-way fares are ¥300 for adults and ¥150 for ages 6 to 11. Ticket machines at each station sell single tickets and day passes. It operates from 6:03 to 23:30, with the first and last trains departing Resort Gateway Station. By train from the airports, allow about 80 minutes and 1 transfer from Narita, or about 50 minutes and 2 transfers from Haneda. Official travel times for direct buses are about 55 to 60 minutes from Haneda Airport, 65 to 90 minutes from Narita Airport, 30 to 40 minutes from Tokyo Station, and 50 to 60 minutes from Shinjuku Station. Check each bus company’s website for fares and schedules. The resort warns that nearby roads can be congested even on weekdays, so public transport is preferable to driving.

Book direct airport buses to Maihama and Tokyo transit tickets ahead
A day at DisneySea, plus rain and crowd strategies
For month 9, using 9:00–21:00 hours as an example: arrive at Maihama before 8:00. Once inside, verify your ticket, buy one Disney Premier Access pass, then head for a popular attraction for which you did not buy one. Return to Fantasy Springs during your assigned daytime slot, and use Disney Mobile Order or Priority Seating for lunch. The website says waits for popular attractions tend to be shorter in the evening and waits for attractions far from the entrance tend to be shorter at opening, so save a second round of popular rides for the evening. Watch the harbor show at night, then take the Disney Resort Line back to Maihama after the park closes at 21:00; the last train is at 23:30. Rain need not change your plans: the website says about 75% of attractions are indoors, many Mermaid Lagoon attractions are indoors, and raincoats and umbrellas are sold in the park. Ticket prices signal crowds: ¥10,900 dates are the resort’s peak-priced days. Halloween weekends are the busiest, so choose a weekday if you can.

First visit: Disneyland or DisneySea?
- With children aged 3 to 8, or if you want parades and Cinderella Castle: choose Disneyland. Its classic attractions, parades, and shows are here. Disney Premier Access for parades and shows costs ¥2,500, or ¥3,500 for limited Halloween shows.
- For adults, couples, or anyone keen on Fantasy Springs and Soaring: choose DisneySea. Its popular attractions are concentrated here; budget for 2 to 3 Disney Premier Access purchases and include the nighttime harbor show.
- If you have only one day but want to see both parks: no single Park Hopper ticket is currently available. You must buy separate Disneyland and DisneySea tickets; calculate the ticket cost and travel time first.
- With children aged 3 and under: they enter free and can accompany an adult who has Disney Premier Access or a Standby Pass without a separate purchase.
- With only half a day: the After 3 pm Passport on holidays or After 5 pm Passport on weekdays, available from 9/15, offers the best value if you want to see a nighttime show.
