Privacy policy
How Mokaair handles account, travel, community and usage information, and how to contact the operator.
Effective date:
Scope and contact
This document describes information processing when Mokaair provides travel discovery, itinerary planning and community features. The operator, location, contact channel, retention arrangements and other applicable information appear in the confirmed information on this page. External websites have their own privacy policies.
Account and travel information
- Registration and sign-in involve email, password hashes, verification and session state, and language and currency preferences. Third-party sign-in involves the identity information supplied by that service and the account-link status.
- Depending on the features you use, the service stores search criteria, private itineraries, saved items, price-alert settings, usage balances, reservations and ledger records to provide features, protect accounts and reconcile usage charges.
- Sign-in cookies maintain your session. Language and other preferences may be stored in cookies or browser storage. Disabling necessary browser storage can affect sign-in or preferences.
- The trip editor keeps unsaved edits in your browser's local storage until you save or discard them, so take care on a shared device.
Community sharing and messages
You create a public profile separately; your email does not automatically become a public display name. Profile details, posts, comments and images you choose to publish may be visible to others. Public itineraries use separate snapshots and do not automatically reveal private notes, actual accommodation, flights, bookings, traveller details or original quotes.
Image processing removes metadata such as EXIF and creates display versions. Draft and pending media have access restrictions. Withdrawing content stops new public access authorizations, but the website cannot recall copies already downloaded. Messages, reports and necessary moderation information support communication, safety and complaint handling; blocking does not remove messages already delivered to another person.
Service providers and usage analytics
Depending on the feature and its enabled settings, information may be processed by services for email, image storage, maps, travel information, AI planning or translation. Avoid including unnecessary personal or sensitive information in planning requests. Actual providers, processing locations and arrangements must be stated in the operator's confirmed information.
Usage analytics can be enabled through website settings and includes page and feature events, language, device categories, source types, and identifiers computed with a key held by the site. The raw IP address is only an input to that computation and is not stored, and the resulting value changes each day. The implementation supports browser DNT and GPC opt-out signals and optional GA4 configuration. Message bodies are not used as analytics event content; this does not mean that records needed for sign-in, security and product features are never processed.
Advertising on article pages
When this site shows Google advertising on its travel guide and life sharing article pages, Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve and measure those ads. By default this site serves non-personalised ads only and does not target you across sites based on your previous visits; even so, Google may still use cookies for frequency capping and aggregate reporting. If personalised advertising is enabled, readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are first shown a Google-certified consent message, and their answer decides whether personalised ads appear; that answer can be changed later, and the message is not shown elsewhere. When a browser sends a DNT or GPC opt-out signal the advertising script is not loaded at all and no consent message appears. Ads appear only on article pages, never on account, trip, shared trip or community pages. You can turn off personalised advertising or manage third-party advertising cookies here:

Retention, deletion and requests
Retention arrangements for each data category and backups appear in the confirmed information. Confirmed account deletion revokes access and hides public content, followed by background cleanup of related personal information and media. The account record itself is kept, with its email replaced by a code that cannot be contacted; usage balances and ledger records kept to reconcile accounting still carry that account reference, and conversations already delivered remain in the other participant's records. Account cleanup does not immediately erase all backups or withdraw private itinerary copies that others have already created.
For questions, corrections or other information-processing requests, use the contact channel on this page and explain your request. Identity checks may be needed to protect the account. Do not provide passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.
- Operator
- The Mokaair site owner, operating as an individual rather than a company.
- Operating location
- Taiwan. Some service providers — cloud storage, maps, travel data, AI itinerary planning, email delivery and usage analytics — may process data outside Taiwan.
- Contact us
- support@mokaair.com Write to this address for access, correction, deletion or any other request about your information, describing what you are asking for. Identity may need to be confirmed to protect the account; never include your password or unnecessary sensitive details.
- Data retention and deletion
- Raw usage-analytics events are kept for 90 days and daily rollups for 25 months. A signed-in session lasts at most 30 days. Password-reset and account-deletion links expire after 30 minutes. Everything else — search criteria, itineraries, saved items, price-alert settings, community content, partner-link clicks — has no fixed period and is kept until you delete your account. Deleting the account immediately revokes sign-in and hides public content, after which background processes clear personal information and images. What remains: the account record itself, with its email replaced by a code that cannot be contacted; usage balances and ledger records kept to reconcile accounting, which still carry that account reference; messages already delivered to the other participant; and audit records of administrative actions. Backups are not erased immediately.
- Applicable law and dispute handling
- This policy and your use of the service are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). No court is designated in advance; jurisdiction over any dispute follows the Republic of China Code of Civil Procedure.
